 Spent all weekend decorating the house for Christmas.
Since I graduated from Berkeley and work at Stanford, I thought the
ancient rivalry between the schools would make an interesting
theme. One side of the kitchen is bedecked with Cal Bears colors,
the other side with Stanford colors.

Ornament Making Party, I hushed everyone to announce: "Notice
the Cal-Stanford rivalry here: on the left, BLUE and GOLD! On the right,
RED and GOLD!" Everyone burst out laughing. To my shame.
I had it wrong. Stanford colors are red and white.
I had to re-christen it the Bears-49'ers color scheme
